Take Your Next Steps with Jesus and Deep Rooted Church

GET PLANTED

What is Baptism?

Baptism is a public declaration of an inward transformation. It’s how we show the world that we’ve decided to follow Jesus and that our old life is gone — we’ve been made new.

At Deep Rooted Church, we baptize just like Jesus was: by full immersion in water. It symbolizes the death and burial of your old life, and coming up out of the water represents your new life in Christ. It’s an act of obedience and a celebration of the transformation Jesus has done in you.

At Deep Rooted Church, we believe water baptism is a public declaration of three powerful truths: You’ve decided to follow Jesus, you’re stepping into a transformed life through Him, and you’ve been planted into a new spiritual family.
